Green Bean Bake
Regina Roberts, Cleveland, OH, shares an easy green bean recipe, using as she says, "The Tricks Of The Trade" that I taught her! I'd say she gets an A+.
Serves 6
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup skim milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
15 Ritz Reduced Fat Crackers
2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
4 cups (two 16-ounce cans) cut green beans, rinsed and drained
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with butter-flavored cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine mushroom soup, skim milk, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Crush 5 crackers. Stir crushed crackers and 2 teaspoons onion flakes into soup mixture. Add green beans. Mix well to combine. Spread mixture into prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, crush remaining 10 crackers. Add remaining 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon onion flakes. Mix well to combine. Evenly sprinkle crumb mixture over top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until mixture is hot and bubbly. Divide into 6 servings.
