Salisbury Steak Pot Roast
If you are a fan of Salisbury steak, then be sure you fix this dish. You'll soon be leading the cheers of pleasure.
Serves 4
8 ounces ground 90% lean turkey or beef
6 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) dried fine bread crumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped onions*
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 (12-ounce) jar Heinz Fat Free Gravy*
1 cup frozen sliced carrots, thawed
1 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 cup (one 2.5-ounce jar) sliced mushrooms, undrained
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup Heinz Light Harvest Ketchup or any reduced-sodium ketchup*
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with butter-flavored cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine meat, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup onion, parsley flakes, black pepper, and 1/4 cup gravy. Mix well to combine. Using a 1/3 cup measuring cup as a guide pat mixture into 4 patties. Arrange patties in prepared baking dish. Evenly spoon carrots, celery, and remaining 1/4 cup onion over patties. In a small bowl, combine remaining gravy, undrained mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Spoon mixture evenly over top. Cover and bake for 60 mintues. Uncover and continue baking for 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Place baking dish on a wire rack and let set for 5 minutes. Evenly divide into 4 servings.
