Stuffed Meat Loaf

Mary Smith, Rochester, MN, shares her families favorite meatloaf recipe.

Serves 6

16 ounces extra-lean ground sirloin beef or turkey breast
6 slices reduced-calorie white bread, torn into pieces
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 cup fat-free milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with butter-flavored cooking spray. Pat half of meat in prepared loaf pan. In a large bowl combine bread pieces, celery, onion, parsley flakes, sage, and milk. Pat stuffing mixture evenly over meat. Carefully pat remaining half of meat over top. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Place loaf pan on a wire rack and let set for 5 minutes. Cut into 6 servings.
